The first rule of remote first aid is to let someone know where you are going, but honestly I get out into the wild every day, I don’t want to bother them all the time, only when I really need help. This app let's you send your adventure to a server and if you don't get back it sends an sms to your friends. If you get back in time they won't be have an sms sent.
Here is how it works:
The first rule of remote area first aid is let someone know where you are going. No one can find you if they don't know what you were doing.
At the same time, I don't want to let my friends know every time I go for a short adventure, that would be very annoying. And part of getting out there is enjoying the solitude, not having to communicate constantly with other people.
This app sends your trip information to a secure server which only sends it to your friends and family when you don't get back in time. Because that is really the only time they need to know.
There are a lot of people who love you, take care of them by using this app so they can find you if you are in trouble.
We are still in the process of developing this app - if you think it is a good idea then let us know by registering your interest and letting us know any good ideas you have for it as well.
