Privacy Policy
We’ll keep your data private unless you don’t get back from a trip at the time when you expect, then we’ll send it to your friends so they can find you. Small print below.

Friends Find Me ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
By using Friends Find Me, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal and usage information:
Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
Trip Information
- Planned destination, departure time, and estimated return time
- Real-time location data (if location tracking is enabled)
- Health conditions (if voluntarily provided by you)
- Emergency contacts, including their names, phone numbers, and email addresses
Technical and Usage Data
- Crash reports and diagnostics
- Analytics related to app usage and performance
- Device identifiers and basic technical information
- Cookies or similar technologies, where applicable
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate and improve the App
- To manage your account and provide customer support
- To notify selected contacts if you do not check in as expected
- To provide information to emergency services if requested in a legitimate safety context
- To monitor app usage and diagnose technical issues
3. When We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data.
Your information may be shared under the following circumstances:
- With your nominated contacts, if you fail to return from a trip within the timeframe you specified
- With emergency services, in the event of a suspected emergency or if your safety is in question
- With third-party service providers who support our operations, including:
- Supabase (data storage and backend services)
- Twilio (communications and messaging)
- RevenueCat (subscription and payment management)
- Analytics and performance tools
All third parties are required to use your information only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal and trip-related data for 30 days after submission. After that, it is automatically and permanently deleted.
You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at shea@goodarchitect.com.au.
Uninstalling the app does not delete stored data immediately; however, your data will still be deleted 30 days after its creation.
5. Data Security
Your data is stored on secure servers managed by Supabase. We implement industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Access to user data is strictly limited to the developer/operator of the app.
6. User Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate or outdated information
- Request early deletion of your data

7. Emergency Exceptions
In the event that you do not return from a planned trip as scheduled, and where there is legitimate concern for your safety, we may share your trip details and last known location with your nominated contacts and emergency services, even without additional consent at the time.
8. International Data Transfers
Some of the services we use (such as Supabase and Twilio) may store or process data in countries outside of your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to those countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or via email.
